In his early career, Lauber composed music for the TV series “Tales from the Darkside” and “Chilly Scenes of Winter”. He also worked on the soundtrack for the film “Hearts of the West”. His music has been performed by notable musicians such as Toots Thielemans, Buddy Collette, and Stanley Clarke.
Lauber's contributions have not only been limited to music, but he has also worked as a playwright. He has written several plays, including "Angus, Thongs and Full-Frontal Snogging" and "What I Like About Jew."
