Johann Nepomuk Fuchs (1842-1899) was an Austrian composer and opera conductor. He was the younger brother of Robert Fuchs, who was also a composer. Johann Nepomuk Fuchs is best known for his work on the opera Zingara, which he composed in 1872.

Fuchs was a prolific composer, and wrote works in many different genres, including operas, symphonies, chamber music, and piano pieces. He was also a well-respected conductor, and was known for his performances of the works of Wagner and Bruckner.

In addition to his work as a composer and conductor, Fuchs was also an influential music educator. He taught at the Vienna Conservatory, where he had a significant impact on the development of many young composers, including Alexander von Zemlinsky.
