Joe Cutler is a British composer who was born in London on December 17, 1968. He grew up in Neasden and studied music at the Universities of Huddersfield and Durham. Joe is known for his unique style of writing music that is filled with quirky dancing energy and humor. He has worked in both the concert hall and outside, collaborating with visual artists such as Tom Dale , Jaap Drupsteen, and Gary Ward.

Joe has received numerous accolades for his work, including two British Composer Awards in 2011 and 2016 , one of which was for his Jazz Composition "Karembeu's Guide to the Complete Defensive Midfielder". He has also written a number of ensemble pieces, including Sikorski, for Noszferatu, commissioned by the Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival in 2005.

In addition to composing , Joe is also a teacher and mentor for aspiring composers. He has served as a professor of Composition at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, where he helped inspire a new generation of composers with his innovative ideas. Outside of the academic world, he has also written music for Trish Clowes' saxophone concerto "Hawaii, Hawaii, Hawaii".
