Joachim Albertini (1748-1812) was an Italian-born composer who lived and worked during the Baroque and Classical periods of music. He is not as well-known as some of his contemporaries, but he wrote a number of works, including chamber music, operas, and sacred music.

Albertini was born in Pavia, Italy, in 1748. He began his career as a violinist, and at a young age, he became a member of the orchestra at the Teatro Regio Ducal in Milan. In addition to his work as a violinist, Albertini began to compose music, and he soon gained a reputation as a talented composer.

Albertini's most famous opera is "Il Condono," which was first performed in 1773 in Milan. This opera was well-received and helped to establish Albertini's reputation as a composer. He went on to write several other successful operas, including "Le Gelosie Villane" and "La Virtù al Cimento."

In addition to his work as an opera composer, Albertini also wrote chamber music and sacred music. In 1789, he wrote a set of six string quartets, which were published in Paris. He also composed several works for the church, including a Requiem Mass and a Stabat Mater.

While Albertini never achieved the level of fame of some of his contemporaries, such as Mozart and Haydn, his music is still respected and admired today. He was an important figure in the development of Italian opera, and his works continue to be studied and performed by musicians around the world.
