Jan Sandström is a Swedish classical music composer ), born on January 25, 1954. He is known for his unique compositions, including the "Motorbike Concerto" for trombone and orchestra. He is one of Sweden's most celebrated composers and has received numerous awards for his work. Sandström's music is frequently performed on the international scene, and he has been commissioned to compose works for various ensembles, including the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra and the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra. Sandström also wrote the opera "The Rococo Machinery" in 2016. One of his most popular works is "Es ist ein Ros entsprungen," a choral piece based on a German Christmas carol. In addition to his classical compositions, Sandström also released an album on Spotify called "Swedish Trombone Concertos" in 2020. Overall, Jan Sandström is a highly-respected composer and has had a significant impact on the world of classical music.
