Jacobo Palm composed over 300 pieces of music that are mainly in the traditional tumba style, which is a popular music genre in Curaçao. He was also an accomplished organist, pianist, and violist.
Palm's compositions are known for the intricate melodies and rhythms that combine traditional Curaçaoan styles with European classical music. Some of his most famous compositions include "Kenepa Chiki", "Kenepa Grandi", "Sorsaka", and "Korsou ta Stimabo". Palm also wrote classical pieces, such as "Pater Noster", which is a vocal work composed for mixed choir and bass solo.
Palm's compositions were not only popular in the Dutch Antilles but also throughout the Caribbean and Latin America. Today, his music continues to be performed by musicians and ensembles worldwide, and his legacy lives on in the Curaçaoan cultural heritage.
