Hubert Bath was a British composer born on November 6, 1883, in Barnstaple, Devon, England. Hubert Bath studied at the Royal Academy of Music in London and began his career by writing music for the theatre before moving on to film.
Bath became a prolific composer for British films during the 1930s, producing scores for more than fifty films. He is known for his contribution to the music of film classics like "The 39 Steps," "Love Story," and "Cornish Rhapsody." His compositions have been used in films, radio, and television shows over the years and his legacy continues to inspire and influence modern musicians.
Bath also composed pieces for brass bands and wrote championship test pieces for the brass band championships. His pieces were considered technically demanding and challenging to perform.
