Hiba Kawas is a renowned Lebanese composer who was born in Beirut, Lebanon in 1972. She comes from a family of musicians and began her music education at a young age. Her talent for composing and arranging music was quickly recognized by her family.

After completing her music studies in Lebanon, Kawas moved to Paris, France, where she continued her studies at the famous École Normale de Musique de Paris. There she studied under the tutelage of renowned composers such as Michel Merlet and Jacqueline Fontyn.

Kawas is known for her unique approach to classical music, which blends both traditional Lebanese and Western musical styles. Her compositions often feature Middle Eastern instruments such as the oud, qanun, and ney, which she blends seamlessly with classical brass and string instruments.

Kawas has composed music for numerous performances throughout her career, including theater, film, and dance productions. She has also been recognized with several awards for her contributions to the world of classical music, including the Medal of Merit from the Lebanese Ministry of Culture.
