Herman Berlinski (1910-2001) was a German-born American composer , organist, pianist, musicologist, and choir conductor. He was a prolific composer of Jewish liturgical music and wrote secular pieces for the organ as well. Berlinski spent his childhood in Germany, but after facing persecution from the Nazis, he fled to the United States in 1933. In America, he continued his musical studies and eventually became a citizen.
