Henry Barraud (23 April 1900 – 28 December 1997) was a French composer who was known for his work in opera ), ballet, and orchestral music. He was born in Bordeaux, France, where he began his music studies as a young boy. Barraud continued his education at the Paris Conservatoire, where among his teachers was the composer Paul Dukas.

During his career, Barraud composed many works, including several operas such as Les Noces de Vénus, Bonheur, Pénélope, and Numance. He also wrote ballet music, including L'Histoire de Manon, as well as orchestral pieces such as Marche des rois mages and the Symphony in C.

Barraud's compositions were often characterized by their originality and unorthodox approach to harmony and melody. He was known for his use of unusual harmonic sequences and subtle modulations in his music.

Aside from his work as a composer, Barraud was also a gifted teacher, and he taught at several music schools and conservatories throughout his career. He also served as the director of French radio broadcasting for a time.
