Henry Aldrich (15 January 1648 - 14 December 1710) was an accomplished English baroque composer whose musical works ranked among the best of his time. Apart from being a composer, he was also a theologian, philosopher, and architect.

Aldrich's earliest works were written during his time at Christ Church, Oxford, where he served as the organist from 1689 until his death. He is particularly well-known for his verse anthems, which are characterized by their lyrical melodies and intricate counterpoint. His works also included church music, and he was greatly admired for his skill in composing works that were well-suited to the Anglican liturgy.

During his lifetime, Aldrich's works were highly regarded, and he was considered one of the greatest English composers of his time. His music was published in important collections such as the Tudway Collection and John Walsh's Anthems and Services. His ability to compose in a variety of styles, including the Italian and French baroque styles, contributed to his reputation as a highly skilled and versatile musician.

Aldrich's influence on music continued for many years after his death, and his works were still being performed and published in the 18th century. Despite this, his reputation as a composer has been overshadowed by his other accomplishments in architecture, theology, and philosophy. Nevertheless, a renewed interest in his music in recent years has led to a greater appreciation of his contribution to English baroque music.
