Some of Rabaud's most famous works include his opera "Marouf, Savetier du Caire", which won the prestigious Prix de Rome in 1894, as well as his Symphonie No. 1 and his ballet "La Fille de Roland". He was considered to be a skilled orchestrator and was known for his use of rich harmonies and lush textures.
