Full biography Harriet Browne

Harriet Browne was an English writer and composer who lived from 1798 to 1858. She was the sister of poet Felicia Hemans and wrote both vocal and instrumental works, although much of her work is now lost. One of her works that survived is "The Pilgrim Fathers," which includes text by her sister and is a setting of the hymn "Faith of Our Fathers." Browne was also known for her collection of recordings of jazz musicians such as Louis Armstrong and Duke Ellington. It is unclear how she became interested in jazz, but her passion for the genre is well-documented. Overall, Harriet Browne was a talented composer who wrote both vocal and instrumental works, and also had a great love for jazz music and its musicians.
