Giselher Wolfgang Klebe was a German composer and academic teacher, born on June 28, 1925, in Mannheim, Germany. He is known for composing more than 140 works which include operas, ballets, symphonies, chamber music, and film scores. Klebe began his music studies at a young age and went on to study composition at the Musikhochschule Mannheim. Later, he studied with Ernst Pepping in Berlin, and with Boris Blacher at the Berlin University of the Arts.

Klebe's music is characterized by its expressiveness and dramatic content. His work often explores themes of human suffering and tragedy, as well as the struggle for personal identity in a complex and unpredictable world.
