Girolamo Conversi was an Italian composer who lived during the baroque period. He was born in Florence around the year 1630 and died around 1694. Not much is known about his early life, but it is believed that he studied music in Rome at the Roman College.

Conversi is known for his sacred vocal music, particularly his motets and oratorios. He also composed instrumental music, including sonatas for various instruments and concertos. In addition to his compositions, Conversi was also known for his skills as an organist.

One of Conversi's most famous compositions is the oratorio "San Francesco di Sales," which was first performed in 1672 in Rome. This piece is notable for its use of dramatic techniques, including recitatives, arias, and choruses, to tell the story of St. Francis de Sales. The oratorio was well-received and was performed in various cities throughout Italy.

Conversi also wrote several motets, including "Trahe me post te" and "O Domine, refugium factus es nobis," which were both published in Florence in the late 17th century.

Despite his contributions to music, Conversi remains a relatively obscure figure in musical history. Nonetheless, his compositions showcase his talent and creativity, and continue to be studied and performed by musicians today.
