Friedrich "Fritz" Seitz was a German Romantic Era composer and violinist who lived from June 12 , 1848 to May 22, 1918. He is particularly remembered for his violin music, including chamber music and concertos. Seitz also served as a concertmaster and wrote eight student concertos for the violin.
Seitz was born in Germany and was an active musician in various cities throughout the country , including Sondershausen, Magdeburg, and Dessau. He became the concertmaster of the Dessau court-orchestra around the year 1884 and his works became popular during his time as a musician.
