Friedrich Zehm (1922-2007) was a German classical composer and pianist. Born on January 22, 1922, Zehm started his musical education at a young age, studying piano with Detlef Kraus. Kraus would later become one of Zehm's pupils, along with Tobias Bigger.

Zehm's compositions reflected his eclectic musical interests, drawing on a wide range of traditions and styles. He wrote piano pieces, chamber music, and vocal works, and was known for experimenting with different forms and structures. Zehm's musical language was characterized by a sense of playfulness and humor, as well as a commitment to exploring new sonic possibilities.

One of Zehm's most notable works is his collaboration with Volker David Kirchner and Friedrich K. Wanek, titled Trifoglietto. Zehm also wrote Praeludien und Fugen, a set of preludes and fugues for the classical guitar.

Zehm passed away on December 4, 2007, at the age of 85. He left behind a significant legacy, both as a composer and as a pianist. His works continue to be performed and appreciated by musicians and audiences alike.
