Full biography Friedrich Klose
Friedrich Klose (1862-1942) was a German composer known for his late Romantic-style works. He studied with Vinzenz Lachner in Karlsruhe and then with Anton Bruckner in Vienna, where he recorded his impressions of the composer. Klose's works include operas, symphonies, chamber music, and choral works. He was also known for his organ compositions, such as his Prelude and Fugue for organ. Klose generalized the vocal writing of late Romantic composers and referred to it as "intensified speech." He has been virtually forgotten in the 21st century, although his music is still available for hire.
