Erik Eriksson Tulindberg was a Finnish composer born on February 22, 1761, and was the first known Finnish composer of classical music. He lived his life as an accountant, but in his leisure time, he composed music that went on to become significant in the Finnish classical music scene.

Tulindberg's music was primarily influenced by the works of Haydn and Mozart, and he composed mainly instrumental music, including chamber music, string quartets, and symphonies. A significant contribution to the Finnish classical music scene was the work he did for the Turku Harmonic Society (later called the Turku Philharmonic Orchestra), which he co-founded in 1790 and directed until 1814.

One of Tulindberg's most notable works was the String Quartet No. 2 in E minor, which was written in 1798 and is considered one of the earliest examples of Finnish chamber music. Tulindberg's music was instrumental in promoting the development of classical music in Finland.

Erik Tulindberg passed away on September 1, 1814, at the age of 53. His legacy continues to be celebrated in Finland as a composer who was instrumental in the development of classical music.
