Erik Bach is a Danish composer and writer on music who was born on January 5 , 1946, in Mariager, Denmark. He received his diploma in music theory and music history from the Royal Danish Academy of Music in 1972. Bach's music has been performed in several countries, including Denmark, Germany, Sweden, Japan, and the United States. Some of his notable works include "Wiener Schnitzel" for wind quintet and "Frise d'Hommage" for solo violin.
Apart from composing music, Bach is also a knowledgeable writer on music. He has written several articles and books on music, including "Den klassiske musik", "Musikkens historie", and "Musiksociologi". In addition, Bach has been a lecturer and teacher of musicology at the Royal Danish Academy of Music.
