Emma Marcy Raymond (1839-1913) was an American composer, musician, and author of operettas, songs, and piano music. She was born in the United States and used the pseudonym Salvator Sylvain. Emma is known for her work in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. She was a contemporary of other famous composers of the period such as Scott Joplin and Irving Berlin. Emma was recognized for her contributions to music by being elected to the New York Musical Society and the Musical Art Club of New York.

Emma's career spanned several decades, during which she produced compositions for piano, voice, and orchestra. Her compositions were regularly performed at major musical venues in America. She was also recognized as one of the first American composers to write authentic operettas. One of her most famous compositions was the operetta Dovetta, which she produced along with Mary E.C.
