Emil Tabakov is a prominent contemporary Bulgarian composer and conductor, born in Rousse in 1947. He graduated from the Bulgarian State Music Academy with a degree in conducting. Tabakov is known for his extensive contribution to the world of symphonic music, having composed and conducted a number of works, including nine symphonies and a concerto for viola and orchestra.
