His best-known operas were produced in London's West End and include 'Billee Taylor,' 'The Nautch Girl,' and 'The Vicar of Bray.'

Solomon was a skilled keyboard player and was said to have had a great talent for orchestration. He was also known for his ability to write music at a rapid pace, which allowed him to provide music for a number of productions in a relatively short amount of time. Additionally, he was known for incorporating popular tunes and traditional folk melodies into his compositions.

Despite his success as a composer in his lifetime, Solomon's life was cut short when he died at the age of 39. Nonetheless, his contributions to music have continued to be appreciated by musicians and composers alike. Today, his music is still performed and his legacy lives on through the works he left behind.
