She went on to study at the Royal Conservatory in Brussels and later in Paris with renowned composer, Vincent d'Indy.

Van Oosterzee's music is known for its distinctively Dutch character, with clear influences from the Dutch folk music tradition. She was a skilled composer of chamber music, including pieces for violin, cello, and piano. Her compositions are characterized by their clear melodies, lyricism, and often experimental harmonies.

Some of her notable works include "Eerste Suite," "Serenade voor Viool en Piano," and "Poème voor Cello en Piano."
