Franchi's works were performed in Naples, Italy, where he collaborated with other notable composers and artists of his time. He also worked as a composer in London, England, where he collaborated with Charles Burney, a composer and music historian.
One of Franchi's notable operas is "La pastorella," which was performed in Naples in 1770 and attended by Burney. Another of Franchi's works is "La semplice," which was performed at the Valle in Rome.
