Bill Whelan is an Irish composer and musician who is best known for his composition for the interval of the 1994 Eurovision Song Contest. He has composed music for theatre, film, television, orchestra, and more. Whelan is the composer behind the famous music of Riverdance, a theatrical dance production that has been performed all around the world since its debut in 1995. He has won several awards for his music, including the Grammy Award for his Riverdance album in 1997. In addition to his work as a composer and musician, Whelan has also worked as a producer and has taught music in various places, including at Princeton University. Whelan's contributions to the world of music have been significant, and his work continues to inspire and entertain people all around the world.
