Antonio Maria Abbatini was an Italian composer who lived from around 1609 or 1610 to around 1677 or 1679. He was born in Città di Castello, Italy and was active mainly in Rome. Abbatini was a distinguished composer and teacher, who wrote operas and other vocal music, and is considered to be one of the leading composers of his time.

Abbatini's most famous works include the operas "L'Ione" (1664) and "La comica del cielo" (1668), which were both performed in Vienna and in Rome. He also wrote sacred music, including several masses and oratorios. Abbatini's music is generally characterized by its contrapuntal style, rich harmonies, and inventive use of melody.

Abbatini was trained in composition by Antonio Cifra and studied under other well-known composers of the time, such as Giacomo Carissimi and Virgilio Mazzocchi. He later became a maestro di cappella, or music director, at the church of San Lorenzo in Damaso in Rome.
