Born in County Clare, Ireland, Ni Riain began her musical journey learning piano at a young age, before going on to study composition at Trinity College Dublin and the University of York.
Ni Riain's music is deeply reflective of her interest in spirituality and the human condition, often incorporating elements of spoken word, theater, and visual media into her compositions. Her works encompass a wide range of genres, from choral and orchestral pieces to electro-acoustic soundscapes.
