public address system A public address system (or PA system) is an electronic system comprising microphones, amplifiers, loudspeakers, and related equipment. It increases the apparent volume (loudness) of a human voice, musical instrument, or other acoustic sound source or recorded sound or music.

PA stands for Public Address. The main reason for a PA is to let voices be heard – also, putting some or all of the instruments through a PA can enhance the sound considerably, creating a better balance and prevents the band from competing with each other for level.

Personal PAs consist of single speakers or mini speaker arrays, which serve as both main speakers and monitors. Medium-sized PAs consist of a pair of stand-mounted speakers on either side of the stage plus simple monitor wedges. Full-scale PA systems involve multi-speaker line arrays and complex monitoring systems.

It's more than multitasking and finding documents quickly; it's about understanding the bigger picture and aiding their Executives whenever possible.
