Wolfram Wagner is an Austrian composer and flautist born on September 28, 1962, in Vienna. He graduated from the University of Music in Vienna and has since gone on to have a successful career as a composer of chamber operas and other pieces of contemporary classical music.
Wagner has a diverse oeuvre that includes four chamber operas , such as "Endlich Schluss" (Finally Over) and "Der goldene Drache" (The Golden Dragon), as well as shorter pieces such as "Rezitativo, Lento & Vivace", which he dedicated to his son, young double-bass virtuoso Dominik Wagner.
In 2020 , Wagner received critical acclaim for his new church opera, which showcased his sound imagination and skill as a composer. He is also known for his collaborations, such as his trio dedicated to TRIS, which he wrote on the occasion of the celebrated Austrian composer's 50th birthday.
