Full biography Vittorio Monti
Vittorio Monti was an Italian composer , violinist, and conductor born on January 6th, 1868 in Naples. He began studying music at a young age and went on to study violin and composition. Monti's most famous composition is the "Czardas," a rhapsodic concert piece based on Hungarian folk tunes. He wrote this piece in 1904, and it is still performed widely today.
Monti also wrote several ballets and operettas , which were performed during his time as a conductor for the Lamoureux Orchestra in Paris. Some of these lesser-known works include "La Mer," "Moscow," and "Catalan." Additionally, Monti wrote a method for the mandolin, titled "Petite Mthode pour Mandoline," which is still widely used today.
Monti passed away on June 20th, 1922, but his music continues to be performed and enjoyed by many musicians and audiences around the world.
