Guillaume Landre (1905-1968) was a Dutch composer and writer on music. He was born in The Hague, Netherlands on February 24, 1905, as Guillaume Louis Frédéric Landre. He was the son of Willem Landre, who was also a composer and writer on music.

Guillaume Landre studied at the Amsterdam Conservatory and later at the Paris Conservatory with Maurice Emmanuel. He became known as one of the leading Dutch composers of his time. Landre's music is characterized by a mix of traditional and modern elements, and by the use of tonality and color.

Throughout his career, Guillaume Landre composed works for various instrumental and vocal ensembles, including chamber music, orchestral music, and film scores. Some of his notable works include "Elegie" for cello and piano, "Berceuse" for violin and piano, and the "Suite Francaise" for orchestra.

In addition to his works as a composer, Landre was also recognized for his writing on music. He contributed to various music publications, and his books on music theory and composition were widely used in Dutch conservatories.

Guillaume Landre passed away on November 6, 1968, at the age of 63. Despite his relatively short life, he left behind a significant contribution to the Dutch music scene and was highly regarded for his work as a composer and writer on music.
