Gene Pritsker is a composer, guitarist, rapper, DJ, and producer who has written over 700 compositions, including chamber operas, orchestral and chamber works, film scores, and songs. He is known for his eclectic style that combines elements of rock, hip hop, jazz, and classical music.
Pritsker has worked with many notable musicians, including jazz fusion legend Joe Zawinul. He has also collaborated with filmmakers, writing and orchestrating music for major Hollywood movies like "Cloud Atlas" and "6 Miranda Drive". His work has been performed in venues around the world, including Carnegie Hall, the Moscow Conservatory, and the United Nations.
Pritsker is also the co-director of Composers Concordance, a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting contemporary music. Through this organization, he has produced concerts and festivals featuring new and experimental music from a wide range of composers.
