Full biography Dennis Eberhard
Dennis Eberhard was an American composer born in Cleveland, Ohio in 1943. Despite being seriously disabled following an early bout with polio, he received musical training at the Cleveland Institute of Music. Eberhard went on to have a successful career as a composer, writing music for numerous organizations including the Cleveland Orchestra and the Cleveland Chamber Symphony. He was also commissioned by the American Guild of Organists to write an original piece. Eberhard's music was often noted for its unique tonal language and use of non-traditional instruments such as the harp. He passed away in 2005 at the age of 61.
