The International Performer Number (IPN) is a unique universal identifier allocated to every single PPL-registered performer as well as performers registered with other collective management organisations (CMOs). This ID number is used to identify a performer in exchanges with other CMOs around the world.

To obtain your IPN, you must register as a member with a Collective Management Organization for performers who is a member of SCAPR, such as ARTISTI. An IPN will be assigned to you automatically. The IPN is not public. To access it, you need to make a request to your Collective Management Organization.

PPL ID: This number has been generated by Public Partnerships LLC (PPL) and is unique to each participant in the program.

Whenever a new recording is logged with a collecting society, any performers who appear on it should be identified using their IPN. The Interested Party Identifier (IPI) uniquely identifies any songwriter who wrote a song.

IPI Name Number The IP Name Number is the code for a name or pseudonym related to an entity (natural person or a legal entity). One entity can have several names. Prince for example has the IPI-codes 00045620792 (Nelson Prince Rogers), 00052210040 (Prince) and 00334284961 (Nelson Prince R).
