Luis Tinoco is a Portuguese composer born in Lisbon in 1969. He obtained his first degree in Composition at the Escola Superior de Música de Lisboa and was later awarded scholarships from various institutions that allowed him to pursue his studies in composition abroad.
Tinoco's body of work ranges from solo to orchestral compositions, including opera, chamber music, and electronic music. He has collaborated with several ensembles and musicians, such as the Orquestra Gulbenkian, the Remix Ensemble Casa da Música, and the percussionist Pedro Carneiro.
Tinoco's music has been recognized both nationally and internationally, having been featured in festivals such as the BBC Proms, the Venice Biennale, and the World Music Days. He has also received several awards and honors for his work, including the prestigious Prémio de Composição Musical Inês de Castro.
